Alice Springs Airport is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Maintenance Supervisor - Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) to lead the maintenance of critical airport electrical infrastructure and airfield lighting systems.

About the Role
Reporting to the Airport Operations and Assets team, you will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day delivery of planned, corrective and reactive maintenance activities across airport electrical infrastructure, with a particular focus on Airfield Ground Lighting systems.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading and coordinating electrical contractors and maintenance activities.
- Ensuring scheduled, corrective and reactive maintenance is completed in accordance with airport maintenance requirements and industry standards.
- Managing compliance and legislative maintenance obligations.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records, inspections and reporting.
- Reviewing and updating maintenance procedures and documentation.
- Prioritising maintenance activities to meet operational and customer requirements.
- Managing the after-hours on-call roster for critical airport assets.
- Supporting asset condition assessments and long-term maintenance planning.
- Working collaboratively across airport departments to continuously improve maintenance outcomes.
- Developing team capability and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Driving strong safety, environmental and risk management practices.
About You
You are a qualified electrical professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
Essential Requirements
- A Grade NT Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Licence.
- Current NT Driver's Licence or the ability to obtain one.
- Experience working with Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems and/or relevant specialist training.
- Ability to independently manage maintenance activities, inspections and reporting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound computer skills and experience maintaining accurate records.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
- Ability to successfully pass an Australian Federal Police Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Airside Driving Licence (Category 4).
Desirable
- Experience maintaining CASA-compliant Airfield Ground Lighting systems.
- Previous experience in aviation, infrastructure, utilities, defence or other highly regulated environments.
- Experience managing spare parts inventories and maintenance materials.
- Knowledge and application of 5S workplace organisation principles.
- Contractor management and supervisory experience.
Safety and Compliance
This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive Aviation Activity (SSAA) role and participation in the Airport Development Group's Drug and Alcohol Management Plan (DAMP) is required.
You will be expected to:
- Champion a strong safety and environmental culture.
- Identify and manage operational risks.
- Support compliance reporting and monitoring activities.
- Comply with cyber security policies and reporting requirements.
