Your primary purpose will be to provide quality assurance, interpret regulatory guidelines and oversee electrical and energy compliance and audits within the Airport. Implementation of an effective and proactive compliance monitoring program, including hosting discussion forums, analysing and developing reports on compliance trends and actions and act as a primary point of contact for government agencies and stakeholders.

Compliance and Audit:

You will need to oversee the compliance manual and assist management in developing action plans to address any recommendations identified in the Annual Compliance Report.

  • Maintain and develop compliance checklists, registers, processes, and procedures. 
  • Advise and communicate any new legislation and regulatory changes that may impact the business. 
  • Provide operational support and guidance to other departments and agencies and respond in a timely and coherent manner.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit reports to ensure findings are reported to the relevant regulator in a timely, compliant, accurate manner and escalate potentially significant issues to management. 
  • Assist with the management of ADG’s risk management system and risk registers. 

Stakeholder Management:

Monitor and report to relevant internal stakeholders on key risk indicators, emerging risks, controls assurance and regulatory changes, including facilitating regular risk reporting from business units. Coordinate and record meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Liaise directly with government bodies to aid and provide direction where required.

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a compliance role, with knowledge and understanding of compliance, auditing, quality assurance or investigations, within a regulated setting.
  • Ability to interpret industry regulations, expectations and rules set out by the governing bodies to meet compliance. Including the ability to communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including senior management, legal, and government bodies to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Demonstrated a high degree of responsibility, initiative, alertness, the ability to prioritise a heavy workload and to delegate accordingly.
  • Eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card and pass an Australian Federal Police Check. Must have a current Motor Vehicle driver’s licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the renewable energy space e.g. Solar and Energy Storage (BESS).
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) such as SAP, Tech-one or similar.
  • Previous experience working in an airport environment.
  • Experience in change management and document control in a regulatory environment.
