We are seeking a talented Groundskeeper to join our facilities team at the Darwin International Airport. In this hands-on role, you will help maintain and beautify our expansive airport grounds using your stellar landscaping skills and keen eye for detail.

You will get to flex your green thumb operating commercial mowers, trimmers, tractors, and other equipment to keep our grass neat and tidy. But it's not just grass and plants - you'll also assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs of airport infrastructure like pavements, signs, drains, and markings to ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Mowing, pruning, painting, and generally sprucing up airport grounds
  • Operating landscaping equipment and tools safely
  • Escorting contractor's airside
  • Replacing and repairing airside furniture as needed
  • Monitoring and reporting on infrastructure condition
  • Responding to emergencies when on call

To be considered for this opportunity, the ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience safely operating mowers, trimmers, tractors, and power tools
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of sustainable land management best practices
  • Availability for an on-call schedule

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • WHS training or knowledge
  • Licenses for equipment operation or driving
