About the role
- Permanent, Full Time position
We are seeking a Permanent, Full Time Education Adviser to work within our Counselling and Allied Health Education team. This position works to advise and guide our students, answering any inquiries. The role also involves assessing student produced work and providing detailed, timely feedback.
Reporting to the Training Manager, your key responsibilities would include:
Professional Development & Team Collaboration
- Developing training material
- Writing articles, case studies, publications when needed, and proofreading training material prior to publication and print
- Participate in team meetings
- Maintaining industry currency
Assessing Student Work
- Assessing written workbooks and practice items from the courses within required time frames and according to benchmark standards.
- Undertake moderation and validation processes
- Conducting joint assessments with other assessors who are in training.
Student Support
- Answering education and study inquiries regarding education requirements of the vocational training programs.
- Providing academic guidance and support to students via the Study Assistance phone line and email.
- Providing support and guidance to students who require additional assistance, such as those who have received Not Yet Competent (NYC) results on their assessment items, students with special learning requirements and those who require Language, Literacy and Numeracy assistance.
About You
- Diploma or higher in Allied Health Services, Counselling, Community Services or similar related fields
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or willingness to obtain - costs covered by AIPC)
- A minimum 2 years of recent Allied Health or Counselling work experience (voluntary or paid)
- Well-developed communication & interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- High Computer literacy and Microsoft Office skills
