About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Course Writers to contribute to the development and enhancement of curriculum for our Bachelor of Social Work program, writing units:

  • BSW-PRP204 Skills for Social Work Practice 2
  • BSW-PRP205 Social Workers and the Law
  • BSW-HLT202 Health, Ageing and Disability

In this role, you will be responsible for designing subject content, learning outcomes, and assessments that align with academic standards and industry expectations. You'll collaborate with academic and regulatory teams to ensure the curriculum supports student success and meets accreditation requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Design and develop high-quality online student learning materials including learning content, assessments and rubrics, and other teaching resources. 
  • Utilise the Institute’s Learning Management System (LMS) in line with Institute templates, processes, and best practice protocols. 
  • Produce online teaching and learning resources and applications compatible with the Institute’s LMS 
  • Develop content that aligns with course and unit learning objectives.  
  • Ensure learning resources comply to institutional, industry and international standards. 
  • Incorporate feedback into learning and teaching materials.  
  • Proof material for formatting, educational and grammatical correctness. 

About you 

  • Relevant qualifications in Counselling, Community Services or a related field such as Psychology or Social Work.  
  • Course development experience (preferably in the Higher Education Sector).  
  • Exceptional written communication skills. 
  • Computer literacy and advanced experience with Microsoft Word. 
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
