Are you a digital marketing enthusiast ready to make a meaningful impact? The Australian Institute of Music, or AIM, is seeking a creative and tech-savvy Digital and Social Media Coordinator to join our dynamic Marketing team. Here’s your chance to shape our online presence, drive community growth, and boost student enrolment while reducing attrition.

This will be a permanent full-time role based at either our Sydney or Melbourne campus.

Role Summary

As our Digital and Social Media Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our marketing and recruitment efforts, collaborating with a diverse range of teams to make our vision a reality. Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, you’ll dive headfirst into our AIM Marketing Plan, focusing on SEO management, crafting winning social media strategies, nurturing our community, supporting digital campaigns, generating captivating content, and managing the CMS (WordPress).

The Digital and Social Media Coordinator effectively contributes to the achievement of the department and Institute’s operational and strategic plans. As an active member of the Marketing and Recruitment team, you will positively influence the day-to-day performance of the team. This multifaceted role is pivotal in delivering measurable digital initiatives that drive community and student enrolment while reducing attrition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the content strategy of all AIM social media platforms
  • Activate, develop, manage, monitor and report on social media channels
  • Train and guide our Casual Marketing Assistants to produce content and posts for social media and approve the content
  • Participate in planning digital campaign strategies to align SEO with SEM across digital channels
  • Contribute ideas for the growth of AIM’s digital channels with a focus on opportunities to grow student enrolment
  • Ensure key AIM events, campus life and noteworthy industry insights are captured in social channels
  • Manage the website, support with new pages and content creation, and help with web updates and maintenance
  • Support the Recruitment and Event Manager to organise and execute marketing events
  • Oversee the content strategy and guide our Marketing Assistants and third parties to produce relevant content to target audiences across appropriate digital channels
  • Work with partners (photographer, copywriter, videographer) to create and develop content as per the content plan
  • Assist in creating and posting content to AIM’s website primarily news & events and ad hoc page updates
  • Work with the Marketing team on the website project to improve the CMS (WordPress) content, functionality, performance, design, and UX
