Adventist Senior Living is looking to hire a retirement living specialist Sales Consultant to be based at Avondale Village in Cooranbong. As a not-for-profit organisation, we value people with initiative and a passion for providing excellent services to our residents.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised professional with demonstrated sales and marketing expertise. Working within a small, collaborative team, you will take ownership of the end-to-end sales process for Independent Living Retirement units — from initial enquiry through to contract exchange, settlement, occupancy, and associated administration.

Experience in selling and understanding the seniors’ market is essential. This should be complemented by a strong understanding of property management principles and knowledge of NSW Retirement Village legislation. You will possess strong customer service ethos, proven negotiation skills, and the ability to guide prospective residents and their families through what is often a significant life transition.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic yet patient, highly organised, and confident in managing multiple priorities. Strong computer literacy and experience using CRM systems are required. You will be professionally presented, self-motivated, and an excellent communicator with fluent English and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders.

A willingness to actively network within the local community and represent the organisation at industry and community events is essential, contributing to brand awareness and lead generation.

You should bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Previous experience in retirement living sales
  • Understanding of retirement living contracts and sales processes
  • Warm communication style coupled with excellent listening skills
  • Experience in the management of CRM Databases and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Administrative and Time Management organisation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal, influential and persuasive skills, including the ability to build rapport and respect quickly with prospective purchasers, families and local networks
  •  Ability to understand the NSW Retirement Village legislation- “Act” & “Regulation” and identify emerging trends affecting the Retirement Villages industry
  • A solid understanding of the local property market
  • Current driver's licence
