  • Pay Rate: $19.00/hr.
  • Shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, rotating 4 days on / 4 days off.
  • Employees will be assigned to a primary shift (day or night); however, flexibility is required to switch between shifts based on staffing needs, with advance notice provided.
  • Availability for weekends, holidays, scheduled overtime, and emergency overtime is required.
  • Temporary Contract position with Raise with potential for perm hire with ADM
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check is required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare process and finished product samples and perform analytical testing using instrumental and wet chemistry procedures, recording results in computerized data systems.
  • Performs daily process monitoring tests throughout the plant as assigned.
  • Maintains samples of tested product to confirm results when necessary.
  • Documents results of all testing procedures and promptly notifies operations of required adjustments.
  • Enters and reports data using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Understands production processes and may make recommendations to operators to achieve product quality.
  • Performs light maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
  • Maintains ongoing records of all testing procedures and inputs data daily.
  • Maintains adequate testing supplies and notifies supervisor when reordering is needed.
  • Compares equipment readouts with standard samples to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area, including washing and properly storing equipment.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with team members.
  • Performs duties safely, uses approved safety equipment, and completes required safety certifications.
  • Adheres to all FDA, GMP, BATF, EPA, OSHA, and company standards and guidelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Education/Training Preferred: 2 or more years of a science degree.
  • Experience in similar role preferred with Good attendance history.
  • Excellent safety record and awareness.
  • Demonstrates computer skills for lab instrument programs.
  • Familiarity with software such as Excel and Word.
  • Experience with lab documentation.
  • Experience operating standard lab equipment (pH meter, balances, spectrophotometer).
  • Demonstrates math skills for lab-related calculations.
  • Previous plant experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong housekeeping and sanitation practices.
  • Troubleshooting ability.
  • Accurate record-keeping skills.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
