Part Time (fixed term position to 6th December 2026)

Alexandra District Health (ADH) is the major health service organisation within the Shire of Murrindindi and has a long and proud history in health-related service provision to the area, providing inpatient and outpatient services including specialist medical services, operating theatre services, radiology, pathology and district nursing. In addition, the hospital delivers community health services including a wide range of allied health and health promotion services.

Alexandra District Health seeks a motivated person with experience in building maintenance and equipment to join our Facility Management team. The successful applicant will be appointed in a part time, fixed term position to 6th December 2026.

The successful candidate will share a passion and drive to make a difference in the lives of our Patients and Staff ensuring a proactive approach to Building, Equipment & Grounds maintenance. You will have the ability to be proactive in a maintenance environment, be self-motivated and deliver exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. The successful applicant will be required to work independently as well as in a team environment.

What you will need:

  • Experience working in hospital industry (preferred). 
  • Trade qualification/background (preferred).
  • A practical common-sense approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to take a Leading role and backfill extended Leave vacancy for Facility Manager.
  • Ability to capture various DATA and generate the required maintenance/KPI/DHS reports
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Previous staff management experience desired
  • Have a strong patient and staff focus
  • Demonstrated strong customer service ethos and commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety
  • Current Police Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) (or willing to obtain).
