We are seeking annual leave cover for two positions over a 13-week period. The roles offer flexibility, with the capacity for one or more applicants to provide 16–18 hours per week across 2–3 shifts.

Additional shifts may also be available to cover sick leave and weekend work.

DNS 1 - Fixed Term 9th July 2026 - 31st July 2026

DNS 2 - Fixed Term 10th August 2026 to 8th October 2026

  • 18 hours per week - Monday (8hr), Tuesday (6hr) and Thursday (4hr)

The District Nursing service operates Monday to Friday with occasional weekend services, providing a mix of home-based aged care services and private services such as Post Acute Care and Hospital in the Home.

You will provide nursing care, health education and support to clients in the home setting, encouraging your clients and their carers to be partners in their care planning, goal setting and decision making. To help your clients achieve their best health outcomes and independence you will also collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and external service providers.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum of three years clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred).
  • High level of competence in the provision of community nursing including wound management, intravenous access devices, medication administration, stoma care and catheter care.
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision within a multidisciplinary team environment.

The District Nurse maintains clinical standards and best practice, through continual quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based risk management strategies. You will encourage a positive working team environment by fostering the ADH values, as well as facilitating education and support for junior staff and students.

What we can offer you:

  • A friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team environment
  • Ongoing support and personal and professional development opportunities
  • Generous salary packaging benefits
  • Employee Assistance Program
