The role

We currently have an opportunity for a self-motivated, customer service focused individual to join our Sales & Marketing team, as Customer Service Officer for Bulk Products!

This full-time permanent opportunity will be primarily responsible for the daily management of bulk orders, enabling the 24/7 loading, continuous improvement and providing outstanding customer service to our customers, logistics partners and internal team members.

The position also performs support functions for the Officer - Customer Service (Packaged Products) role for leave coverage and additional support on an ad hoc basis.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accurate and timely delivery to customers, following departmental customer service procedures
  • Reconcile transactions from the weighbridge system to SAP daily
  • Monitor and advise bulk product allocations for the Angaston and Birkenhead sites to ensure the continued supply of product, communicating any concerns to the sales team
  • Maintain the weighbridge database to ensure compliance with sales, accounts and CoR requirements
  • Processing of packaged product orders and filling the packaged product position as required
  • Communicate with transport companies to ensure that all drivers using the Weighbridge system are inducted and all vehicle details are accurate and up to date
  • Follow up on transport related incidents
  • As we are a 24/7 loading operation limited after hours on call requirements and alternate weekends

What you will need to succeed

  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Friendly, customer service-oriented disposition
  • Previous experience working in the construction materials industry (preferred but not essential)
  • Understanding of truck configurations, load mass, fatigue and CoR requirements (Highly Desirable)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
  • SAP knowledge (Highly Desirable)
  • Flexibility to handle after hours requirements asl listed above
  • Ability to work autonomously
