The Role

Adbri Cement is seeking a motivated Electrical Technician to join our Electrical Maintenance Team at our Birkenhead site.

This permanent day work role offers the opportunity to work on complex fixed plant in a heavy industrial environment, while enjoying the stability of a metro-based site and a supportive, team-focused culture.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining plant reliability, supporting preventative maintenance programs, and contributing to ongoing improvement initiatives across the site.

This is an excellent opportunity for an industrial electrician who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, working collaboratively, and being part of a business that prioritises safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and instrumentation maintenance across fixed plant equipment
  • Diagnose faults and complete breakdown repairs to minimise downtime
  • Undertake planned and preventative maintenance activities
  • Support shutdown and improvement projects
  • Promote and uphold strong safety, quality and environmental standards
  • Complete maintenance documentation within SAP (or similar ERP system)

About You

You are a trade-qualified Electrician who thrives in an industrial environment and enjoys solving problems.

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician
  • Experience working in heavy industry, manufacturing, processing or mining environments
  • PLC fault-finding and diagnostic experience
  • High-voltage switching experience (advantageous)
  • Exposure to SCADA systems (CITECT or similar desirable)
  • EWP licence (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
  • Availability for call-outs, shutdowns and relief shift coverage as required
