The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on tradesperson from a heavy industrial background — whether you’re a Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaker, Rigger, Hydraulic Technician, Compressor Technician, or Shutdown Tradesperson — who enjoys working on large fixed plant equipment and takes pride in keeping critical assets operating safely and reliably.
This role will particularly suit candidates with experience working on hydraulic systems, compressors, shutdown maintenance, rigging and heavy mechanical repairs within industries such as cement, mining, quarrying, manufacturing, oil & gas, ports or power generation.
You’ll join a highly experienced maintenance team with strong site support, genuine ownership of work, and involvement in reliability improvement initiatives across a large-scale industrial operation.

Responsibilities
- Lead by example in safety, quality and environmental compliance
- Perform maintenance and repairs across heavy fixed plant and rotating equipment
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems, compressors, pumps, conveyors and process equipment
- Execute preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities
- Support shutdowns, outages and major repair works
- Perform rigging, lifting and installation activities where required
- Carry out precision alignment, mechanical fitting and equipment overhauls
- Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to improve plant reliability
- Complete maintenance documentation and work orders within SAP or similar systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across site
What You Will Need to Succeed
We encourage applications from tradespeople with experience in heavy industry environments including cement, mining, quarrying, manufacturing, oil & gas, ports, steelworks or power generation.
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Boilermaking, Millwright, or similar mechanical trade
- Strong hands-on maintenance experience within fixed plant or industrial environments
- Experience working on hydraulic systems, compressors, rotating equipment or heavy process machinery
- Rigging / Dogging ticket highly regarded
- Experience with shutdown maintenance and major equipment overhauls
- Forklift, EWP, Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets highly regarded
- Experience in lubrication, condition monitoring or vibration analysis advantageous
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding capability
- A proactive, team-focused approach with strong commitment to safety
