The Role

We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Account Manager based in Darwin.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager you will have the vital function of managing key accounts while maximising sales opportunities within the greater Northern Territory market. This will be achieved through developing and executing strategic sales plans, cultivating relationships with key clients, and ensuring the successful delivery of products and services.

This role will require you to be hands on and to deal with all levels and sectors throughout the construction industry. Although you will manage an existing customer base, one of the responsibilities of this role will be to generate new business and identify market opportunities.

The role is for you if you're highly motivated, results-oriented and have strong business acumen. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role and can demonstrate a track record of success in account management delivering on major projects within the infrastructure, commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

 

Responsibilities

  • Consistently deliver on commitments and take accountability for the quality and timely delivery of work
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and action plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence
  • Analyse market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and adjust strategies accordingly
  •  Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.

 

What you will need to succeed

  • Proven experience in sales and account management to the Readymix & Mining / Resources sector
  • Exposure to intermodal (rail / road) logistics and bulk product handling
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications, or a related discipline
