The role

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated Electrical Tradesperson based at our Stapylton site. This is a full-time position as an integral member of the team rotating on both the morning and afternoon shifts across multiple 24hr production facilities. 

As part of the maintenance team, our Industrial Electricians are critically important in supporting the production crew through both preventive maintenance and breakdown support. As someone who has previous experience working as an Industrial Electrician in a high-volume manufacturing facility, we expect that you will hold the relevant trade qualifications and be able to demonstrate good communication, problem solving and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure commitment to safety, quality, and the environment
  • Carrying out electrical repairs on a range of fixed plant with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive / preventative maintenance.
  • Work closely with the Operations team during breakdowns, fault finding and troubleshooting issues
  • Effectively respond to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Maintain PLCs and circuitry
  • Carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Perform major overhauls through various plant shutdowns.
  • Focus on continuous improvement ideas.
  • Provide direction to contractors and work groups as required.

What you will need to succeed

  • Trade qualified (Valid unrestricted electrical licence)
  • Demonstrated experience working as an Electrician in an industrial environment
  • A high level of fault-finding experience
  • PLC diagnostic experience
  • Basic computer skills
  • A confident, self-motivated, energetic individual
  • A team player with a high degree of trade flexibility
  • Ability to work, at times, autonomously and without direct supervision.
