As Plant Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing the Townsville site, including an operational plant and production facilities, site logistics and maintenance functions. You will support all functions to set, adapt and achieve an operational plan and objectives to ensure a safe reliable and cost-effective operation delivering high-quality products.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with the Performance Improvement team to ensure safe and correct execution of product sampling and testing.
- Ensuring adequate stock holdings are maintained across the site including raw materials for production and ensuring that products meet quality specifications.
- Supervising the operation of all equipment in line with business targets and ensure compliance to company procedures/processes.
- Ensuring all assets are being continuously monitored, cost efficient, maintained and operated at their optimal levels.
- Verifying that all health, safety and environment documentation is maintained and relevant.
- Developing and implementing strategies to promote and support continuous improvement.
- Identifying, planning, and implementing improvement opportunities on the site.
- Managing all site costs in an effective and efficient manner.
About You:
- Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic with strong decision-making ability
- Experience in heavy industry processing
- Strong team management and change management experience essential
- Possess a high level of management aptitude to assist in operational aspects
- Ability to follow and develop SWMS/ SOP's/JHA’s
