The role

At Adbri Masonry, we’re building something new. Our team has just been restructured, bringing together people with diverse experiences, perspectives, and working styles.

As the Manager – Operational Improvement, you’ll be at the heart of this transformation and play a pivotal role in guiding and influencing outcomes across our plants. Your goals are clear: streamline processes, lift quality, reduce costs, and foster a safe, efficient, and innovative working culture.

This role is located in Campbellfield, Victoria with travel requirements to various sites that are located within regional areas and interstate.

Responsibilities

  • Process Assessment & Analysis – Lead end to end process reviews using data analysis, workflow mapping, and stakeholder consultation to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives – Drive the design, implementation, and sustainment of continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to optimise operational performance and embed best-practice processes.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making – Define and track KPIs, conduct root cause analysis, and leverage performance metrics to validate improvements, measure benefits realisation, and support informed decision-making.
  • Change Management & Training – Lead change initiatives by engaging stakeholders, delivering training and coaching on CI tools, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Project Management – Scope, plan, and execute improvement projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget control, and alignment with strategic and operational objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring – Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track sustainability of improvements.
  • Client/Customer Focus – Ensure product and service quality, foster commercial excellence, and build strong industry relationships.

What you will need to succeed

  • Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, operational excellence and disciplined execution.
  • Degree qualified in Process, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, complemented by strong project management capability.
  • Proven manufacturing experience with strong technical capability and effective people leadership.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to apply digital tools, automation and programming skills to enable process optimisation, performance reporting, and scalable improvement solutions.
  • A collaborative leader and coach who develops others, builds capability, and drives high-performing, accountable teams.
