The role

A Despatch Coordinator / Customer Service Officer is required for our Adbri Masonry distribution yard in Boxhill. The position will be responsible to coordinate and maintain a reliable despatch service, working with our yard staff, customer service team, the national logistics team, and our transport contractors to ensure our customers get the right product at the right time. 

This fast-paced role requires someone who can multitask and adapt to changing priorities with the ability to effectively communicate with other branches, customers, and transport companies to ensure the smooth running of the facility. The position will also provide a positive customer service experience that includes liaising with customers as they come on site, responding to phone calls and emails, answering product queries, providing quotations, and following up on account queries. 

Good computer skills, exposure to delivery allocations, and excellent attention to detail and customer service skills are required.

This position is initially available on a full-time 6-month fixed term contract working Monday through to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating of deliveries to customers
  • Ensuring stock accuracy and levels are maintained
  • Assisting with customer enquiries and order entry
  • Efficiently and effectively manage both employees and external stakeholders when arriving on site
  • Promptly answer incoming calls, in a professional manner
  • Accuracy of maintaining internal databases, in a timely manner
  • Accuracy of saving and uploading documents 
  • Prioritising task to fit with the organisation’s requirements 
  • Management and efficiency of day-to-day administration tasks

What you will need to succeed

  • MS Office experience mandatory 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship building, time management, negotiating skills and computer skills are essential
  • High attention to detail
  • Be able to multi task and work under dead lines
  • Be able to communicate with internal and external parties
  • Have a "can do attitude" and to be able to work with a team
