The Role:

The Treasury Manager plays a pivotal role in managing our financial resources, optimising capital allocation and ensuring the efficient functioning of our treasury operations.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the role is responsible for developing and executing treasury strategies that align with our corporate objectives and support our continued growth and financial stability.

This role can be based in Sydney, NSW or Adelaide, SA.

Responsibilities: 

Leadership of Adbri’s Group Treasury Strategy defining the approach and objectives for managing financial assets, liabilities, and risks across the organisation.

  • Leadership: Lead, mentor and cultivate a high performing treasury team.
  • Liquidity Management: Develop and manage overall cash and liquidity preparing accurate cash flow forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations and investment opportunities. Implement strategies to maximise cash efficiency.
  • Debt Management: Manage the company's debt facilities and trade finance requirements including refinancing and compliance with debt covenants. Evaluate opportunities for reducing interest costs and minimising financial risks.
  • Investment Management: Oversee the company's investment portfolio maximising returns while ensuring liquidity. Evaluate investment opportunities and provide support for, the integration of, new acquisitions.
  • Risk Management: Implement and monitor risk management policies and strategies including foreign exchange risk, interest rate risk, commodity prices and credit risk. Develop hedging strategies to mitigate potential exposures.
  • Banking Relationships: Build enduring relationships with financial institutions and banking partners ensuring competitive financing terms and top-tier banking services.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and industry best practices related to treasury operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Enabling timely decision-making and accurate reporting and optimise use of the Treasury Management System.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in treasury management, preferably within a similar multi-national environment
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, financial instruments and risk management
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful treasury strategies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and treasury management systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
