The role
The Landscape Specification Business Development Manager is a permanent, full-time role responsible for driving the specification, acceptance and conversion of Adbri Masonry’s landscaping solutions across South East Queensland.
Partnering closely with Sales, Contracting Services, Technical, Operations and Marketing teams, you will work directly with landscape architects, civil designers, councils, developers and contractors to influence project documentation and convert specifications into successful project outcomes.
This role is based in Stapylton, QLD and will require regular travel across South East Queensland.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, qualify and secure landscape projects for Adbri Masonry product specification across public realm, subdivisions, parks, streetscapes and recreational facilities
- Influence drawings, schedules and technical documentation to include Adbri Masonry paving, retaining wall and concrete masonry solutions
- Provide technical guidance on product selection, performance characteristics, installation requirements and compliance standards
- Promote Adbri’s permeable paving solutions within WSUD strategies for councils and designers
- Champion Adbri’s sustainability credentials, including lower-carbon masonry solutions, EPDs and Net Zero initiatives
- Partner with Sales and Contracting Services teams to convert specifications into orders, supply and installation outcomes
- Deliver CPD sessions, design reviews, site demonstrations and factory visits to key stakeholders
- Track specification pipelines, conversion activity, competitor insights and market trends using CRM systems
What you will need to succeed
- Proven experience influencing design teams, councils or project stakeholders within construction, landscaping or building materials
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications and compliance documentation
- Commercial mindset with a clear understanding of how specification drives conversion and revenue
- Confident communicator capable of presenting technical and sustainability solutions to varied audiences
- Strong relationship-building skills with architects, councils, contractors and distributors
- High level of self-motivation, resilience and adaptability in a project-driven environment
- Qualifications in Landscape Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline (desirable)
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel across SEQ
