The role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team at our Staplyton office in Queensland. As part of the senior leadership management team, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for the management of the external transport fleet provided to Adbri Masonry by various vendors across the states.

As the Logistics Manager, you will be accountable for providing proactive leadership and direction to the team through setting high performance standards, driving accountability and results, all while ensuring you help nurture a culture of collaboration and clear communication across all functions.

To be successful in this role you will have a solid understanding of Logistic operations and would have worked in a similar role to ensure we continue to maintain success in the areas of safety, profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring operational and commercial efficiencies are met as well as leading continuous improvement strategies.
  • Responsible for Health and Safety, ensuring compliance across the business, including Heavy Vehicle Chain of Responsibility.
  • Developing and maintaining customer relationships with key stakeholders
  • Driving revenue growth
  • Monitor and maintain transport cost relevant to budget.
  • Managing workforce capability
  • Leading, motivating and inspiring your team
  • Full financial performance responsibility for Logistics function of our business

What you will need to succeed

  • Previous operations or logistics experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills combined with a commercial mindset.
  • Solid leadership capability with experience in managing people.
  • Strong knowledge of the transport industry, experience relating to compliance in transport legislations and regulations, including Heavy Vehicle Compliance
  • Highly effective people skills to work with our customers, employees and other key stakeholders.
