This is a primarily forklift-based role, working with palletised cement and concrete products in a fast-paced yard and warehouse environment. You’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly – from loading trucks to supporting the packing line. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team and have the opportunity to broaden your skills into plant operation over time.
This is a permanent, full time role working a 4 x 10hr set roster (Tuesday – Friday 0600 – 1600).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift to load/unload trucks and move palletised goods safely and efficiently
- Pick and prepare orders accurately using packing slips
- Monitor and support the automated packing line as required
- Undertake general yard and warehouse cleaning (including ride-on sweeper)
- Perform manual handling tasks (e.g. rework of non-conforming product, partial pallet builds)
- Complete pre-start checks and basic equipment maintenance
- Assist with stocktakes and inventory control
- Follow Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and all site safety requirements
About You
If you enjoy staying active, working as part of a tight-knit team and taking ownership of your work, this is a great opportunity to build your skills in a busy manufacturing environment. Ideally you’ll bring:
- A current Forklift Licence (essential)
- Experience in warehouse operations, particularly truck loading/unloading
- Strong focus on safety and situational awareness
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, hands-on role
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when picking orders
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn plant operations (highly regarded)
