The role
Adbri is seeking a confident and experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join our team in Adelaide. In this vital role, you’ll take ownership of workers compensation claims within a self-insured framework, ensuring that injured employees receive timely, compliant, and effective support throughout their recovery journey.
You’ll be responsible for managing claims from initial lodgement through to resolution, while collaborating with internal teams, medical professionals, and regulatory bodies to drive positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of workers compensation claims within a self-insured model.
- Coordinate stakeholder communications, including healthcare providers, legal advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Organise and lead case conferences and ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Maintain strict compliance with workers compensation legislation and internal governance standards.
- Use systems such as Solv and Cintellate to track, manage, and report on claim activity.
- Contribute to injury management reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you will need to succeed
- 3+ years’ experience in workers compensation claims and injury management, preferably within a self-insured organisation.
- Sound knowledge of South Australian workers compensation legislation (with knowledge of WA or other states an advantage).
- Experience working with digital claims management systems and maintaining high standards of documentation and compliance.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, or heavy industry is highly desirable.
