The role
We are seeking a motivated and proactive Trainee Laboratory Supervisor to join the Adbri Masonry team at our Stapylton site. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career in laboratory science, no prior laboratory experience is required, just a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Full training will be provided.
Working under supervision, you will develop practical laboratory skills while supporting routine testing and maintaining a safe, clean, and organised environment.
Key responsibilities include sample preparation, testing of masonry products, field sampling, equipment calibration, and data entry and analysis.
This is a permanent full-time position reporting to the Laboratory Manager. We offer a supportive team environment and opportunities to grow within a leading Australian company.
Responsibilities
- Testing of Raw Materials and Masonry Products
- Working with the operations team on R&D projects
- Reporting of Results
- Responsible for equipment checks and scheduling of calibrations
- Ensuring laboratory compliance with the requirements of our NATA accreditation
What you will need to succeed
- Desire to start a new career or continue in the construction material testing industry
- Desirable but not essential Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques
- Self-motivated person, with a strong work ethic and initiative
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
- Proven ability to work both autonomously and within a team
- Desirable but not essential Computer and literacy skills - training can be provided
- Desirable but not essential Forklift license
- Strong commitment to quality and safety
