The role

Based at our Stapylton site, Adbri Masonry is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate sampling, testing, and reporting of Masonry products and raw materials in both field and laboratory environments. You’ll ensure compliance with Australian Standards, and NATA requirements while maintaining a strong commitment to health, safety, and quality.

This role is located in Stapylton, QLD.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sampling and testing of aggregates and masonry products in accordance with relevant Australian Standards.
  • Accurately record and report test results.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and project teams to coordinate testing schedules.
  • Maintain strict adherence to NATA accreditation and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
  • Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained to regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold strong health and safety practices, including the manual handling of heavy materials.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records for all tests and assist with compliance documentation.

What you will need to succeed

  • Certificate or Diploma in Laboratory Techniques, Materials Testing, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Experience in aggregates and masonry testing.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards, TMR specifications, and NATA requirements.
  • Microsoft Office - Intermediate
  • Role involves lifting and carrying up to 15 litres of concrete per test.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting results.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
