Job no: JD9JY

At Adbri, we’re offering an opportunity to work hands-on in a dynamic environment, supporting the safety and wellbeing of our people across the Concrete, Cement, Aggregates, and Masonry sectors.

Based in Birkenhead, South Australia, you’ll join our national Health and Safety team and work closely with an experienced, supportive group of professionals. From day one, you’ll be involved in meaningful safety work, including site audits, investigations, risk assessments, and key projects aimed at strengthening our safety culture.

This role gives you a balance of operational exposure and strategic development. You'll visit our sites regularly, supporting frontline teams while building your technical understanding of WHS legislation, systems, and culture change practices. You’ll partner with our site leaders to improve safety performance and will play an active role in identifying risks and implementing solutions that keep our people safe.

You will need a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety. But we’re looking for someone who brings more than just a degree. You’ll have a proactive mindset, strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with team members at all levels. Whether you’re just starting your career or looking to apply your experience by transitioning from another high-risk industry into safety, what matters most is your motivation to learn and your commitment to making a difference.

Previous exposure to high-risk industries like construction, mining, or manufacturing will be highly regarded but isn’t essential.

You will also need a current driver’s licence and basic proficiency in office systems. A White Card is helpful but not required immediately – we’ll support you in obtaining one if needed.

What We Offer

  • A structured onboarding experience with mentorship from experienced advisors
  • Exposure to diverse operational sites across our Concrete, Cement, Aggregates, and Masonry divisions
  • Ongoing learning and networking opportunities with industry bodies such as IQA and CCAA
  • A collaborative, caring, and innovative team culture

This graduate role is the ideal launchpad for a long-term career in WHS, with clear development pathways into Advisor, Business Partner, or Management roles.
