The Role
We are seeking an exceptional senior leader to step into the role of General Manager, Concrete & Aggregates NSW, overseeing Adbri’s concrete and aggregates operations across New South Wales. This is a pivotal position responsible for driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and commercial performance across a large, diverse, and high‑impact portfolio.

What You’ll Lead
In this role, you will guide a broad operational footprint including Concrete & Despatch Operations, Transport, Quarry Operations, Sales, and Technical teams. You will:
Champion Safety & Culture
- Lead by example to embed a safety‑first culture, empowering teams to identify hazards and continuously improve safety practices.
- Foster a high‑performing, engaged, and accountable workforce.
- Drive talent development, succession planning, and a culture of inclusion and continuous improvement.
Drive Commercial & Financial Performance
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders to support growth and customer outcomes.
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to shape strategy and identify opportunities.
- Lead pricing, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting to ensure profitability and capital discipline.
- Use commercial insights to inform decision‑making and drive continuous business improvement.
Deliver Operational Excellence
- Champion cost efficiency, process optimisation, and technology adoption across plants, logistics, and quarry operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational performance.
- Strengthen market presence and secure long‑term customer and stakeholder relationships.
What You Bring
We’re looking for a seasoned leader with:
- 15+ years’ P&L leadership experience in capital‑intensive manufacturing, heavy building materials, mining, energy, or industrial sectors.
- Proven capability in strategic, operational, safety, and commercial leadership across large, dispersed teams.
- Strong commercial acumen, operational expertise, and the ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence.
- A leadership style grounded in accountability, communication, customer focus, and inclusivity.
Relevant tertiary qualifications (Engineering, Business, Operations Management) are desirable, with postgraduate studies (MBA or equivalent) viewed favourably.
