The role
We’re looking for a commercially savvy, hands-on Senior Finance Business Partner to collaborate with the General Manager – Masonry and the wider operations team. Your insights will drive business improvement, uncover cost-saving opportunities, and translate financial data into strategies that boost operational performance and create value.
This role is in Stapylton, Qld and you will be required to travel
Responsibilities
- Deliver financial support to operations, identifying efficiency gains and value creation opportunities.
- Lead budgets, forecasts, and month-end close processes with accurate reporting and actionable insights.
- Drive long-term strategic planning, evaluating capital expenditure and performing scenario modelling.
- Prepare and present monthly management reporting packs with KPIs, variance analysis, and recommendations.
- Provide ad hoc commercial and financial support for projects, analysis, and business cases.
What you will need to succeed
- Proven experience in construction, building materials, or heavy asset-based industries.
- Tertiary qualification in finance or related discipline; CA/CPA or equivalent professional membership.
- ~10 years of strong finance business partnering experience, working closely with operational teams.
- Hands-on, practical approach with a genuine curiosity about business operations.
- Track record of delivering commercial and operational improvements.
- Comfortable in large, complex organisations and cross-functional environments.
