The role

The Credit Manager will protect and maximise revenue inflow through efficient and effective management of the customer base, credit, and cash collection. The role works closely with sales and operations teams to maximise returns, provide leadership across credit and sales teams, minimise customer default risk, and maximise debt collection. The Credit Manager will support the Group Credit Manager by ensuring visibility of credit issues and escalating process and trading terms non-compliance, provide information to Corporate for cash flow forecasting, manage the provision for doubtful debts, and positively represent Adbri and its group of companies.

This role is located in Silverwater, NSW and you will be required to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely AR reporting; proactively identify and manage issues
  • Monitor debtor ageing, DSO and key credit metrics; drive collections and escalations
  • Oversee accounts receivable ledgers across Adbri entities
  • Standardise AR processes and improve efficiency across the business
  • Manage credit notes and adjustments to ensure accurate transaction processing
  • Resolve account discrepancies (e.g. RCTIs, short payments) in a timely manner
  • Review and manage customer credit applications and documentation
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and compliance with delegated authorities
  • Manage doubtful debt provisions and bad debt write-off submissions
  • Partner with Sales and Finance on collection issues and monthly reviews
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as required
  • Contribute to group credit policies and maintain industry credit knowledge

What you will need to succeed

  • Credit Management qualification or higher
  • Comprehensive accounts receivable experience with demonstrated leadership of a credit team in a medium to large business
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Excellent credit management, reconciliation, and stakeholder engagement skills, including negotiation and diplomacy
  • Proven ability to be hands-on, commercially astute, and proactive in delivering solutions
