The role:

The Maintenance & Reliability Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, and optimising maintenance activities across the site to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing assets.

This role plays a critical part in improving plant reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting long-term asset performance through structured planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is located in Campbellfield; Victoria and you will be required to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed maintenance work plans, including job scopes, task sequencing, labour allocation, and required materials.
  • Create and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimise unplanned downtime.
  • Analyse equipment performance, failure data, and maintenance trends to drive reliability improvements.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Use maintenance planning software (e.g., SAP, Pronto, MEX, Maximo) to manage work orders, spare parts, and scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate asset histories, work orders, and task records within the CMMS.
  • Coordinate with teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure efficient, safe, and well-planned maintenance execution.

What you will need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) with experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, or reliability engineering.
  • Strong capability with maintenance planning software (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Pronto, MEX).
  • Hands-on knowledge of maintenance processes, equipment, and asset management best practices.
  • Solid problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of safety systems, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA, RCA) and exposure to lean or continuous improvement programs.
