The Role 

Adbri is seeking a proactive and experienced Business Partner – Environmental Projects to join our Sustainability and Innovation team, based in Munster, Western Australia. 

This leadership role is responsible for driving environmental programs and supporting strategic initiatives across Adbri’s WA operations. Reporting to the Manager Environmental Performance and working closely with operational leaders, stakeholder engagement and legal teams, you will be responsible for delivery of strategic approvals and enabling modernisation of key sites. Additionally, the role will assist with regulatory compliance, reporting and environmental performance across the WA portfolio. 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the delivery of key environmental projects and compliance activities across WA operations. 
  • Plan and manage licence amendment and development applications to enable implementation of environmental improvement programs. 
  • Partner with other Environmental Performance team members to integrate best practice into daily operations. 
  • Build strong relationships with regulators, community stakeholders, and internal teams. 
  • Support incident investigations, audits, and continuous improvement of environmental management systems (EMS). 
  • Drive awareness of sustainability opportunities, including carbon reduction, biodiversity restoration, and water management. 
  • Contribute to Adbri’s sustainability framework and environmental performance reporting. 

About You 

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. 
  • 10+ years’ experience in environmental management within heavy industry, resources, or manufacturing. 
  • In depth knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals, licencing and ISO 14001 systems. 
  • Proven ability to deliver environmental projects and lead regulatory engagement. 
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills. 
  • Experience managing competing priorities across multiple sites. 
  • Certification in ICAM, Taproot, or Root Cause Analysis (desirable). 
  • Current driver’s licence and ability to travel intrastate as required.
