The role

ADBRI currently has an opportunity for a Heavy Rigid (HR) licenced Driver to join our fleet of Concrete Agitator Truck Drivers & Batchers on a Casual basis based out of our Nambucca Heads site. In this role you will be responsible for loading and delivering pre-mixed concrete to customer sites, while also supporting the batching team with job allocation and scheduling when required. If you hold a HR licence, we will provide full training to develop your skills as a Concrete Agitator Driver and give you the experience needed to confidently deliver quality service to our customers.

This position suits someone who enjoys interacting with a wide range of customers, works well in a team environment, and takes pride in delivering a reliable and professional service. You will bring a flexible and approachable attitude along with a strong commitment to health and safety. This is an excellent opportunity to gain specialised driving and batching experience in a stable and growing industry.

This role is located in Nambucca Heads, NSW.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained
  • Deliver concrete to clients' sites
  • Manage concrete slump tolerance levels and the discharge of concrete
  • Complete basic documentation associated with the collection and delivery of concrete
  • Maintain professional customer relationships
  • Maintain the vehicle in a clean and tidy condition
  • Represent the Hy-Tec brand and provide excellent phone-based customer service
  • Take orders and finalise the sale of pre-mixed concrete for delivery.
  • Batch concrete to specific mix designs via a computerized system
  • Undertake general duties including plant cleaning and housekeeping 

What you will need to succeed

  • Current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s license
  •  A Manual Licence holder (strongly preferred)
  • Strong commitment to health and safety
  • Relevant concrete industry experience will be highly regarded however full training will be provided
  • Flexibility to work in a small team environment and assist with other duties as required
  • Current white card
  • A reliable team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
  • Computer Literacy skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
