The Role

Adbri has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Logistics Systems to join the team and make a tangible impact on our operations. In this position you'll be at the centre of developing, implementing, and maintaining the crucial logistics systems that power our operations across the Concrete, Aggregates, and Masonry (CAM) division. Your responsibilities extend to providing user training and support, ensuring seamless functionality across all three business lines.

As we run very customised systems, no prior technical experience is compulsory, and all technical training will be provided. However, the successful candidate will bring excellent stakeholder and project management and is driven to learn more about the construction materials industry. 

Your primary objective will be to optimize the performance of our logistics systems, continuously seeking ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness for end users.

Additionally, you'll spearhead various operational improvement projects aimed at refining our logistics management processes and driving overall business success.

This role can be based at our sites in NSW, VIC, QLD or SA.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop the various logistics systems that support the organisation’s logistics operations.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of the logistics systems in the fleet.
  • Train and support users in the operation of the logistics systems.
  • Develop strategies for improving the effectiveness of the logistics systems.
  • Monitor the accuracy and validity of data entered the logistics systems.
  • Identify system deficiencies and develop solutions.
  • Develop reports to track the performance of the logistics systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the logistics systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external vendors and
  • suppliers.
  • Manage operational improvement projects as required.

 

What you will need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience in effective communication and managing stakeholders are essential to the success of the role.
  • Ability to demonstrate completion of projects and tasks within timeframes.
  • As it is custom systems, all necessary technical training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of logistics / trucks desirable but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of basic integration and data platforms desirable but not mandatory
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong decision-making ability
  • Ability to develop capability within the team.
