Acumentis is seeking an experienced, collaborative and detailed Director to join the Risk and Performance Team. As a leading national valuation firm operating in the commercial, residential, government, and rural valuation sectors, we want to set you up for success in your new role!

About the Role

As our Director of Risk and Performance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our adherence to valuation standards, providing high-quality advice, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Serve as an expert in valuation compliance and standards, staying up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Provide high-quality advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on valuation compliance matters, ensuring that all valuation processes meet the required standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, and implement new processes aimed at enhancing valuation risk management and consistency.
  • Conduct formal audits to assess the effectiveness of existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and perform statistical analysis to evaluate the performance of valuers, assess risk profiles, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Work closely with valuers to provide guidance and support in maintaining compliance with valuation standards.
  • Staying well-informed of industry trends and changes in valuation regulations to ensure proactive compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Creation and delivery of in house training and induction. 

Key requirements/qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary & API accredited qualification
  • Valid Valuers Registration (required in QLD and WA)
  • Current Australian Property Institute (API) membership & CPV Qualification
  • 10+ years of practical valuation experience
  • Strong knowledge of valuation standards and regulations (e.g., International Valuation Standards, Australian Property Institute Standards, etc.).
  • Demonstrated understanding of property finance fundamentals and the role of asset valuations.
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving skills, and an ability to find new approaches and solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing new processes to enhance compliance and risk management.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to perform statistical analysis and interpret complex data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
