Business Resilience Manager

- Remuneration: from $172,353 (commensurate with experience) + 15% superannuation

ActewAGL is seeking a strategic and collaborative individual with excellent communication skills to drive our resilience framework and ensure we are prepared for anything – from crisis to recovery. In this role, you will:
- Lead and continuously improve ActewAGL’s Business Resilience Framework to ensure it remains robust and fit-for-purpose.
- Drive business continuity planning, including Business Impact Assessments (BIAs), risk assessments, and testing protocols.
- Coordinate crisis and incident response activities, support executive decision-making, and lead post-incident reviews.
- Promote a culture of resilience through training, awareness initiatives, and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage resilience tools and technologies, including Noggin 2.0, and explore innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operational, safety, risk, legal, and executive teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including Emergency Services, ACT Government, regulators, and strategic partners.
About You
You will bring:
- Relevant qualifications in risk management, business continuity, emergency/crisis management, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in business continuity and emergency/crisis management, ideally within the energy or critical infrastructure sectors.
- Proven ability to conduct BIAs and resilience assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Experience in coordinating incident response and recovery efforts.
- Strong facilitation skills in training and exercising crisis response teams.
- Deep understanding of resilience frameworks such as ISO 22301.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the energy/utilities sector.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
