Are you an experienced finance leader with deep expertise in financial reporting, technical accounting and taxation? Join ActewAGL and play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, governance and compliance of our financial reporting and taxation functions while leading a high-performing team. Based within our Finance division, this role reports to the Group Manager Financial Performance and Reporting and provides strategic leadership across group reporting, external audit and taxation activities. 

About the Role

As the Manager Group Reporting & Taxation, you will lead all technical accounting, statutory financial reporting and taxation compliance activities across the ActewAGL Joint Venture and subsidiary entities. You will be a trusted advisor on complex accounting and tax matters, working closely with senior leaders, auditors, external advisors and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial outcomes and strong governance practices. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and delivery of annual statutory financial statements and year-end reporting requirements. 
• Manage the external audit process and maintain strong relationships with auditors. 
• Provide expert technical accounting advice on complex transactions, projects and new business initiatives. 
• Oversee the implementation of new accounting standards, disclosure requirements and sustainability reporting obligations. 
• Lead the Group's end-to-end taxation function, including compliance, reporting and advisory across income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax and other taxation obligations.
• Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, governance frameworks and reporting activities. 
• Manage month-end reporting, consolidations and financial performance reporting to owners. 
• Develop, coach and lead a high-performing team while championing ActewAGL's values and safety culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or a related discipline, together with CA or CPA membership. 
• Significant experience in financial reporting and taxation within a large, complex commercial environment. 
• Strong technical accounting expertise and experience managing statutory reporting and external audits. 
• Demonstrated success developing governance frameworks, improving processes and influencing stakeholders at all levels. 
• Advanced financial modelling and ERP experience, with Oracle Cloud experience highly regarded. 
• Strong leadership capability with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
