We’re on the lookout for a proactive and relationship-driven Safety Business Partner to support our ActewAGL Retail and Corporate teams. In this dynamic role, you’ll lead early intervention and injury management strategies, champion wellbeing initiatives, and play a key role in shaping a strong, positive safety culture. A Day in the Life of a Safety Business Partner

  • Work independently while closely aligning with the broader team goals 
  • Support our people by managing wellness, injury, and rehabilitation cases across Retail and Corporate teams
  • Lead with care through our Early Intervention program, keeping a close eye on outcomes and cost effectiveness
  • Coach for insight by guiding teams through incident investigations and uncovering root causes
  • Stay responsive by overseeing safety incident reporting and ensuring timely, meaningful follow-up
  • Drive strategy by helping implement health and safety plans at both divisional and group levels
  • Spark engagement with safety presentations, workshops, and training that connect and inspire
  • Keep wellbeing visible through initiatives like flu vaccinations, physio support, and gym memberships
  • Be the trusted advisor on WHS legislation, codes of practice, and compliance matters

What You’ll Bring

  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety 
  • Completion of RTW Coordinator course or ability to complete
  • Demonstrated sound injury management skills and a proven effectiveness to secure positive outcomes in complex Workers’ Compensation and Income Protection related matters  
  • ICAM (or similar) investigation training
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related role

Desirable:

  • Coaching and auditing experience
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Project Management Certificate
