ActewAGL are looking for a passionate internal audit professional who will lead the annual internal audit program. You will play a key role in improving business efficiency, working closely with the CEO and the Chair of the Safety Audit and Risk Committee, through the maintenance of an effective internal audit framework and provide related services that improve the effectiveness of risk management, quality control and governance processes.

As a senior leadership position within the People and Legal division of ActewAGL, you can expect the following from a day in the life:
- You have the opportunity to make a genuine impact by participating in the Board Sub Committee -Safety, Audit and Risk Committee and work with the Executive Leadership Team to continuously improve business operations and influence strategic direction.
- Continuously improve the internal audit function to best practice.
- Participate in, and/or conduct internal audits, leveraging a co-sourced supplier panel to deliver the annual internal audit program.
- Maintain the organisations fraud control framework to conform to best practice, principles and standards.
- Oversee and manage the whistle blower hotline, including managing investigations, reporting findings and coordinating the implementation of outcomes.
About you
- You have a relevant tertiary qualification in auditing or related discipline supported by demonstrated internal audit management experience in a medium organisation or consulting/advisory firm
- You have demonstrated knowledge in governance, risk management and assurance principles and processes
- You have demonstrated experience in managing stakeholder expectations, negotiation and influencing to achieve positive business outcomes
- You enjoy problem solving and have a curious and analytical mindset
- You have people leadership experience and lead with well-developed collaboration skills, being comfortable to engage with all levels of an organisation
