The opportunity
ActewAGL’s Technology Division is looking for motivated, flexible and highly collaborative individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to take on a great opportunity as our Application Support Analyst.
In this role, you will provide application subject matter expert support to end users in the Evoenergy business and project staff involved in enhancing solutions. You will be implementing new business needs, analyse requirements of end users and provide support in testing and integration of applications. This role will also see you managing environments used for storing and accessing data.

About your new role
As part of the Evoenergy IT team, you will :
- Provide ongoing operational support of Operational Technology systems and environments. This includes a range of applications such as PowerPlan, Cityworks, Velocity, WORQ.
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure, DBA’s , Change, Release and Project teams as the Application SME.
- Develop system documentation and procedures.
- Provide functional and technical application SME assistance in the resolution of operational and performance issues.
- Undertake root cause analysis and address system configuration, operational and performance issues in collaboration with other IT teams.
- Co-ordinate and implement changes following the Change Management process.
- Lead the transition from projects to support during the life of projects to ensure a seamless transition and positive experience for end users.

About you
Essential:
- You have proven application support analyst experience and experience in business and process analysis in complex ICT environments.
- You have demonstrated experience and technical knowledge of various desktop operating systems and complex integrated business application environments.
- You have demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and ability to develop options for resolving problems.
Desirable:
- Understanding of Knowledge Management as it applies to applications support.
- Ability to remotely troubleshoot IT application technical issues (experience working in helpdesk Technical Skills is preferable) and demonstrate resilience in resolving conflicts using a technical, logical thought process with problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within a utility environment along with an understanding of trends and changes impacting the utility industry would be beneficial.
- Possession of ITIL certification.
