ActewAGL’s Finance Division is seeking a proactive and motivated Finance Officer to join our dynamic team within our Finance Operations. If you thrive on challenging work and value professional growth, this role offers the perfect opportunity to make an impact.
As a Finance Officer, you’ll deliver high-quality, timely, and customer-focused financial management services for ActewAGL Joint Venture. You’ll play a key role in driving financial excellence and supporting strategic initiatives within one of Canberra’s leading energy providers.
We’re looking for individuals who excel at stakeholder engagement and demonstrate strong collaboration, attention to detail, and time management skills. Success in this role requires flexibility, resourcefulness, and professionalism, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
About the role
- Provide payment administrative and support services to teams across ActewAGL Joint Venture
- Process daily incoming payments including EFT, BPAY
- Raise customer invoices with accuracy and in a timely manner
- High volume collections management – working across teams and external debt collectors
- Process weekly supplier payment runs including FT, BPAY and Foreign currency
- Team collaboration and backup across team functions Accounts payable
- Liaise with stakeholders of various levels to support the objectives of the business.
About you
- You’re looking for a challenging role that will grow your financial expertise
- You have experience in a finance role and a solid understanding of Accounting principles.
- You have experience across Accounts Payable and Receivable processes.
- Focused on providing exceptional customer service across customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- You’re confident using IT systems and eager to learn and adapt to new processes.
- You’re approachable and excel at building strong stakeholder relationships.
