About the role

ActewAGL Energy Sales and Solutions team is looking for a motivated individual with strong attention to detail to join them as a Safety and Compliance Officer. This role's key responsibility is to ensure the safety and compliance of ActewAGL in their business practices and by extension to all those engaged with the business. Reporting to ActewAGL's Safety and Compliance Lead you will be responsible for undertaking safety and compliance audits in accordance with industry standards. Working as ActewAGL's Safety and Compliance Officer, you will be provided with a work vehicle to conduct audits and assessments across a range of sites.

 A day in the life of the role:

  • Undertake audits and assessments on the principal functions of the ActewAGL Energy Solutions business, deliverable to the Group Manager Energy Sales & Solutions and General Manager Retail.
  • Ensure compliance of contractor contracts.
  • Provide specialist safety, quality and technical advice for internal and external stakeholders in the installation, commissioning, testing and investigation for energy services, relevant AAR sites and functions.

About You

To be successful, you will have;

  • Hold a current Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician.
  • Demonstrate well-developed collaboration skills, being comfortable to engage with all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong experience in WHS compliance protocols and procedures.
  • Demonstrated strong writing and literacy skills, able to confidently draft auditing reports.
  • Completed Smart Meter – UEENEEG171A (Canberra) Training (or) Smart Meter – UEENEEG171A (National) Training.
  • Hold a current OH&S General Induction Card and other relevant safety certificates.
  • Maintain individual accountability for the integrity, validity and reliability of advice to key customers and stakeholders.
