About the Role

ActewAGL Retail is seeking a highly collaborative, analytical Billing and Data Team Leader to lead a high-performing team responsible for billing, invoicing, account management, and data analysis across ActewAGL and Icon Water products and services. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance, revenue assurance, driving process improvements, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes.

You’ll mentor and coach team members, allocate tasks, manage workflows, and oversee critical processes such as the life support lifecycle, market transactions, and billing for three utilities. Your analytical skills will help identify trends, resolve anomalies, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce cost-to-serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate billing and data management activities across ActewAGL Retail and Icon Water.
  • Oversee invoicing, account creation, meter management, and energy market interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to streamline operations.
  • Manage service delivery under ActewAGL and Icon Water agreements, including KPI reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, industry bodies, and market participants.
  • Facilitate billing-related training and contribute to team development.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong understanding of energy retail and water industry operations.
  • Proven leadership experience with ability to mentor and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Technical proficiency, including Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capability and attention to detail.
