Access Community Services Limited (ACSL) is Australia's leader and specialist in, employment, training, youth and social enterprises for migrants, refugees and mainstream clients, in Queensland. As a community based, not for profit, we boast over a 30 year history of serving our local community which was originally established in Logan in 1984. Access Community Services has been funded by the Queensland Government under the Skilling Queenslanders for Work program to recruit multiple trainees to participate in this program.

Position Overview

Access Community Services Townsville are recruiting for 10 Paid Full Time Business Trainees to commence mid August as part of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative for a period of 18 weeks. Get paid to learn, grow & develop a broad range of skills whilst completing your Certificate I in Business. The program is a fully paid work placement opportunity, which involves placing you with a not-for-profit organisation for 18 weeks (38 hours, Monday through to Friday). One of these days will be face-to-face training with a dedicated Trainer and Assessor. This position is ideal for someone who is looking to return to work and is looking to start a new career path in Business Administration. We provide ongoing support for trainees through personal and professional development sessions, participation in a group project, learn from guest speakers and upon completion you will have a Nationally Recognised Qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, receptionist, client assistance and/or clerical support to the workplace
  • Data entry of records and clients information
  • Use office equipment including computers, photocopiers, filing systems and communications systems.
  • Respond to all general enquires and telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Work as an effective team member
  • Comply with Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
