As the WSC Project Coordinator you will play a key role in supporting the Water Services Coordination (WSC) team, to ensure the smooth and efficient running of water infrastructure projects from inception to completion. Your meticulous organization, effective communication, and attention to detail will be pivotal in orchestrating project timelines, facilitating seamless coordination among stakeholders, and contributing to the overall success of our impactful WSC initiatives.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Running the preparation of applications, building plan approvals, minor works, and main-to-meter processes, while actively contributing to the development of design and project coordination for major works projects.
  • Collaborating with senior personnel, you'll assist in project management for minor and major works construction, gaining invaluable experience and expertise along the way.
  • Exhibiting strong coordination skills, you'll liaise across disciplines, performing meticulous document and drawing checks, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained.
  • Participate in pivotal site inspections for building plan approvals, minor works, and potentially assist on major works, allowing for a hands-on-approach.
  • Involvement in design reviews, risk assessments, and bid evaluations, while learning from industry leaders.
  • Enrich the client experience by assisting with the provision of quotes for section 73 applications and building plan approvals.
  • Successful organisation of Sydney Water applications from onset to completion.
  • Integral participation in construction support processes (requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits, managing design revisions and changes).
  • Contribute to seamless financial management through assistance with project invoicing.
  • Develop your skills in technical designs and documentation, working closely with senior designers and project managers

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Administrative experience (preferably within the construction or consulting sector). 
  • A strong interest in expanding knowledge within engineering design.
  • Approachable personality, fostering open communication and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks.
  • Expertise in maintaining procedures, upholding consistency.
  • Effectiveness working independently and within a collaborative team.
  • Previous experience within the Sydney Water Sector will be noted favourably
  • Diploma/Certificate IV in Project Management desirable but not essential
  • Experience with Sydney Water SWconnect and Edeveloper systems is highly regarded
