We're currently looking for a part-time (2-3 days week) In-house Paralegal to support our legal and risk team. As an In-house Paralegal, you will support the success of ACOR, both locally and on a national level.


About The Role


  • Manage workload, identify and prioritise tasks to meet the requirements of the business
  • Develop an understanding of the commercial business, risk and the nature of professional consultancy services
  • Reviewing consultancy services agreements and terms of engagement
  • Providing internal advice and proposed amendments to be sent to clients
  • Assisting in the identification and management of commercial, contractual and other risks within
  • the parameters of insurance
  • Supporting negotiation of sub consultancy agreements, risk reviews, legal research and corporate and legislative compliance
  • Ad hoc support to the Company Secretary with compliance and regulatory task

About You

  • Appreciate the coverage (and limitations) of insurances, and be able to work under tight deadlines
  • Skills to be developed include legal drafting, risk assessment and mitigation, understanding
  • insurance and indemnity, professional communication and commercial negotiation, contract
  • management and administration and provision of practical legal advice
  • Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Strong administration and communications skills
