The opportunity:

This role will work across the full breadth of Human Resources, contributing to the delivery and implementation of both People strategy and operational goals. The HR Business Partner will add value to the business through developing professional relationships with key stakeholders and building credibility as a trusted partner. The successful individual will partner with our People Leaders across the business to deliver professional advice to build and retain high performing, engaged teams.

This position will play a key role in helping us achieve our mission of ‘creating an environment where our people thrive’. As a key contributor in our People Services team, this opportunity will allow you to apply your expertise across a business community that are passionate and strive for excellence.

Your new role:

Reporting to the People Executive, as part of a small team.

Business Partner with Managers and Leaders across the organisation, delivering professional HR advice which support high performance and engaged teams.

Consult and coach People Manager’s to assist them in making robust, people centric decisions that effect change & transitions across the workplace.

Take ownership for the development and implementation of various cultural initiatives/strategies, including DE&I, Health & Wellbeing, Workforce Planning, Remuneration & Benefits, and Talent Management.

Partner with the broader People Services team, including experts in Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Leadership Development to assist in the implementation of initiatives that attract and retain talent.

Ensure HR policies, procedures and programs are current and in line with HR best practice and relevant legislation.

Utilise people technologies to leverage both improvements to the experience of our employees and provide reporting that informs future direction and strategies.


Required experience and qualifications:

Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business or Human Resources)

10+ years relevant HR experience, ideally with experience gained in a consulting, engineering, or technical environment.

Demonstrated experience and skills in a HR Business Partner capacity, with a detailed knowledge of contemporary People practices.

The ability to establish positive, value driven working relationships at all levels to shape positive people/business outcomes.

Demonstrate consultative based communication skills, with a proven ability to influence through active listening.

Adaptive and takes a proactive and positive approach.

Ability to drive initiatives to outcomes whilst maintaining engagement with stakeholders.

Critical thinker, balancing the big picture with attention to detail

Ability to lead others in a people centric organisation where values are at the heart and soul of our business.
