ACOR are seeking an experienced Water Service Project Coordinator to be part of our well establish team to support our existing and new clients and projects.
As Project Coordinator you are responsible for undertaking all relevant tasks with the Water Services service line, including Section 73 applications, building plan approvals, preparation of APP plans, minor works, main to meter, assisting with and developing your skills in design/project management. You engage directly with clients and design teams, representing ACOR and your service line. You apply your knowledge and problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality project outcomes and drive your own professional development through self-guided learning, hands-on project experience and tackling challenges in a dynamic consulting environment.
The Project Coordinator role and day-to-day tasks include:
- Preparing applications, APP Plans, building plan approvals, minor works, main to meter, and assisting with/ developing design/project coordination of major works projects.
- Assisting with project management of minor and major works construction under guidance of senior project managers.
- Coordinating requirements between other disciplines and performing checks of documents and drawings of other disciplines.
- Participating in site inspections for building plan approvals, minor and major works
- Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, and bid evaluations.
- Assisting clients with the provision of quotes for section 73 applications and building plan approval, minor works and major works.
- Lodging section 73 and building plan approval applications to Sydney Water, following such applications through to completion.
- Participating in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions/management of change
- Assisting with project invoicing.
- Assisting with production of technical designs and documentation under guidance of senior the designers and project managers.
Further to the day-to-day tasks, will will be involved in:
- Supporting strategic resource planning and effective deployment to ensure alignment with project needs and broader business objectives.
- Mentor junior team members to encourage development of technical and professional skills in alignment to One-ACOR strategy.
- Supporting ACOR’s commitment to diversity and inclusion through respectful and inclusive teamwork.
- Contribute to the preparation of detailed proposals, quotes and tender submissions as directed.
Qualification, experience and skills required to be considered for this role include:
- Previous experience within the Sydney Water WSC sector (desirable).
- Previous office/administrative experience (desirable).
- Ability to update and maintain technical libraries.
- Ability to maintain procedures manual(s) to ensure consistent performance of routines.
- Competent in the used of Auto CAD, Sydney Water SUDS experience highly regarded.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
