Our Remedial and Facades team is currently seeking a Waterproofing Consultant to join an established group. This is a newly created opportunity and will provide you with the opportunity to apply your experience across a varied portfolio of projects. The position will be supported by leading professionals in the industry to develop and progress your career.

The opportunity:

  • Providing technical expertise in waterproofing, and building envelope systems (weatherproofing) for design and oversight of technical work
  • Supporting litigation efforts through expert witness evidence and reporting
  • Provide critical evaluation of building envelope performance.
  • Provide expert input as to design and construction of building envelopes (with strong emphasis on waterproofing systems).
  • Provide design assistance services related to waterproofing including input as to the appropriate use and selection of materials and details.
  • Conduct investigations of existing failing waterproofing and roofing
  • Provide reviews and input as to development of waterproofing details and specifications.
  • Provide expert review of waterproofing project submittal and RFI documents.
  • Inspect and supervise inspection of work in progress related to the waterproofing systems.
  • Attend project meetings, including leading meetings or portions of meetings related to waterproofing.
  • Managing repair and re-construction projects for residential, commercial and government buildings
  • Utilizing your network of strata managers, asset owners, lawyers and insurance adjusters in the local area to develop new business opportunities and grow the firm's service offerings


Required skills & Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years local post graduate experience is mandatory
  • Technical degree (Bachelor's or higher) in engineering, architecture, construction management or a closely related discipline
  • Expertise in waterproofing and building envelope systems (with specific and detailed knowledge of Section F and H of the NCC, AS3740, AS4848, AS4654.2, AS4654.1, BS8102)
  • Experience in repair and re-construction, design and project management of residential, commercial and government buildings
  • Work collaboratively on multiple solutions for clients and objectively summarize the benefits and shortfalls of each.
  • Must be proficient in technology, including the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office suite software.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
