The Opportunity

The primary function of the DC Team Leader is to support the State DC Supervisor/State DC Manager with the day-to-day activities at their warehouse location. This role coordinates the receipt, storage and distribution of all items to ensure that all customers receive quality orders in a timely and efficient manner.  

Role responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and delegation of tasks to team members as required
• Coordinate, oversee and assist with all outbound operations – including picking, packing, quality checking, dispatch, freight tracking and loading of freight vehicles
• Coordinate, oversee and assist with quality inspection of parts, packaging and order fulfillment prior to dispatch
• Use, maintain and update computer systems to manage freight, orders for dispatch, items to pick and items for delivery
• Oversee and assist with identifying parts to be delivered, inspect for undocumented damage and report if required
• Oversee and assist with the picking and preparation of parts for shipment, ensuring that the correct part and correct quantity is picked
• Oversee and assist customer pickup area for the site

•  Intermediate computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), other web-based programs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take initiative, solve problems and act with a sense of urgency
• Able to work efficiently both in a team environment and independently and to required timeframes
• Able to professionally represent the organization
• LF & LO license preferred
• Basic knowledge of vehicle parts and consumables
