About the Role

The Senior Lecturer plays a key leadership role in delivering and continuously improving the Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood Education at Acknowledge Education. They ensure high-quality, compliant program delivery in line with ACECQA and TEQSA standards, while also fostering student success and engagement. This role includes mentoring academic staff and promoting best practices in teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Design, deliver and maintain engaging, up-to-date course materials and assessments in line with learning outcomes and academic standards.
  • Provide high-quality teaching, timely feedback, and ongoing academic support to students across various delivery modes.
  • Monitor student progress, identify those at risk, and implement appropriate support and interventions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of results and maintain compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to course quality through moderation, assessment reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support broader academic functions including RPL applications, student interviews, and orientation activities.
  • Actively participate in professional development, teaching evaluations, and collaborative academic meetings.
  • Uphold professional standards, provide academic leadership where required, and report any conduct, safety, or operational concerns as appropriate.

About You

  •  A post-graduate qualification in Early Childhood Education.
  • Have at least two (2) FTE years post-qualification relevant industry experience, specifically related to Early Childhood Education.
  • Be prepared to undertake at least 20 hours of continued professional development each year.
  • A strong understanding of theory and practice in the relevant discipline.

Desirable

  • Completion, or enrolment in PhD is desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary teaching experience with demonstrated teaching achievements and results.
  • The ability to improve teaching methods and the ability and willingness to use technology or other innovative strategies for teaching and learning and for engaging students.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability and willingness to contribute to professional collaborations and academic administration.
